life & other stories :: June 🍓
a monthly series to share the little things that fills my life lately- musings, favorite things, what I'm enjoying, reading, watching or thinking about. A mix of everything really.
I love a good list. Getting a glimpse of the behind the scenes or daily life things of people I admire. The little moments that make up a rich + messy + meaningful life. So here’s mine - a monthly column with short life stories I wanna share with you. A way to show the multitudes we’re all made of. Little snapshots of my life. This series is for my paid subscribers. I’d love to have you here - you can join the wild-hearted community below.
A song:
It’s been a couple of months of listening to this song. A perfect summer song. ☀️
A quote:
“ i want you to find yourself
in the cracks of your remembering,
to look into the mirror and find no fault.
i want you to marvel, in awe
that something so
wondrous exists,
and that without you,
there would be a hole
in the fabric of possibility.
without you,
god would still be searching-
incomplete, incomplete.”

This month in ‘life & other stories’ I share…
🎧 Listening: a curated podcasts selection on relationships, community and loneliness and brain health from which I’ve learned a lot. Sharing the 5 things to look for in a relationship from one of the podcast episode I listened to which really resonate.
👟 Exercising: I don’t consider this exercise, more so a morning practice and gentle wake up for my body. I’ve been doing this 10-minute lymphatic practice every morning for the past 2,5 months and it’s become a habit and great way to activate the circulation of my lymph, blood and nerve flow.
📣 Sharing: my thoughts on friendships and a story on synchronicities, butterfly effect and how I’ve met my coven and soul friends.
📺 Watching: a TV show that combines my love for British Columbia, home renovations, gardening and an expander for my life vision.
😅 Feeling: those contraction and expansion feels. Sharing with you a nervous system perspective that can bring you understanding, awareness and compassion - especially when we think we’re going backwards or taking two steps back when all we want is moving forward. That contraction is actually a good sign. You’ll want to read this!
🧘🏼♀️Nourishing: my go to practice when I need a little reset in the afternoon - especially in my luteal phase. So restoring and brings me back into focus. And my favorite food to balance hormones.
✨ Healing: one of my intention for this year is healing and I’m sharing what I’m currently focusing on healing and my view on the sick care system and holistic practices that are free to boost your vitality.
and some more musings…
Make yourself a cup of coffee, get cosy and enjoy the read.
8 life things:
Wildflowers. I smelled a yellow Iris for the first time in the mountains while on a hike with a soul sister and it was divine and brought all the summer scents to life. A mix of citrus, honey, peach and passion fruit. Thinking how delicious it would be as a sorbet gelato. Does that exist, an Iris sorbet? I’ve been appreciating spring more this year with all the lush green trees with the rain, abundance of flowers, stopping to admire and smell wildflowers everywhere. I wanna grow flowers in my garden one day, just like my Dutch ancestors did.
Community is everything. Feeling at home with friends that feel like family is something I always treasured and desired. I grew up watching Friends and Sex & The City where friendships were deeply important. I spent a short week in the mountains with friends at the beginning of the month and it was soul nourishing. I shared a bit more in my Anchor + Create :: June edition. It’s
